Marian Joyce Karch, 83, of Haubstadt, passed on Saturday May 13, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Marian was born May 18, 1933 in Haubstadt, IN, daughter of the late Herman and Lydia (Stremming) Niederhaus.

She married Glenn A. Karch on December 23, 1952 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Haubstadt, IN. After graduating from Reitz High School, Marian worked for Citizens Bank for 11 years before transitioning to a homemaker. Marian Joyce Karch, 83, of Haubstadt, passed on Saturday May 13, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Marian was born May 18, 1933 in Haubstadt, IN, daughter of the late Herman and Lydia (Stremming) Niederhaus.

She married Glenn A. Karch on December 23, 1952 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Haubstadt, IN. After graduating from Reitz High School, Marian worked for Citizens Bank for 11 years before transitioning to a homemaker. Marian was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, a 10-year 4-H member and lifelong 4-H supporter, an honorary lifetime PTA member and a doting grandparent. She was a homemaker and excellent baker, winning top local and state fair ribbons for her phenomenal pies.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Glenn Karch.

Marian is survived by her sister, Ruth (Niederhaus) Mans; sons, Kurt (Waverlyn) of Haubstadt and Kevin (Lori) of Indianapolis; grandchildren Kayla Wilder (Aaron) and Allen Karch; and great granddaughter, Mille Wilder.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Kirk Horstmeyer, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
